Module 1: Plan Adult Learning

Module 1 in TTT is Plan Adult Learning. Adults learn differently than children, have own knowledge and experience, as well as own motivation. This module teaches about andragogy, principles of adult learning, the different learning styles and its current academic argument, as well as self-concept. The pics show discussions on adult learning principles and motivation factors. News paper cutting are used as tools for presentation of ideas.

The principles of adult learning are not just explained during the module. It is embedded and used throughout the session where participants' existing knowledge are acknowledged, mutual respect among peers are emphasized, and real life applications are discussed.

Sometimes the topic may be conflicted with trainees own knowledge and experience but time will be spent to explain the rationale and the current academic research supporting the points. For example, many might hold on to the ideas of different learning styles. Various current research has dispel earlier theories. New direction has to be established with new emerging facts. All these are discussed during the module.
